        COURTNEY + BENNET

        Central Park Engagement Session, NYC

Photographed by Christian for Natura Collective // NYC Wedding Photographer

Courtney and Bennet let me convince them to meet up at the crack of dawn to beat the crowds to Bethesda Terrace for their Central Park engagement session! Was it worth waking up at 5am? YOU BET IT WAS. It might have been just a tad cold, but the warmth from the snuggles these two shared was enough to keep us shooting through the session and both outfits… which, by the way are prime examples of what to wear to an engagement session. I can’t stop obsessing over this session and we are lucky enough to have photographed their wedding in Florida earlier this year!

Central Park is the ultimate NYC engagement session spot, typically when we go there to shoot we run into at least four or five other couples doing their engagement photos. We always recommend starting your session as early as possible, even if it means a sunrise session at 5am! That goes for central park, DUMBO, anywhere you think there might be crowds of people. It’ll be worth the photos coming out that much more amazing because there aren’t throngs of people in the way. As with any popular destination and location in the city, it’s better to go early than to deal with hundreds of people. Check out Hazel and Jon’s  gallery if you’re looking for more inspiration in this same location.

Every Central Park engagement session is different but if you have a few favorite spots you want to go to for yours, don’t worry! Our engagement sessions are usually about an hour long and we always make sure to have two or three locations included. Even better if you can squeeze an outfit change in there somewhere too. Options are always good to have, especially when you’re looking for that perfect Save-the-date image. If you’re in the process of making save the dates, or invitation suites, we definitely recommend checking out Minted! #notsponsored
